AUTOMATED CREDIT DECISIONING SOFTWARE

Approve clean deals automatically with credit decisioning software

Onyx IQ turns your credit policy into a weighted scorecard and runs every submission through it automatically. Clean deals move straight to approval, clear declines go back to the ISO with a reason, and underwriters only spend time on deals that need real judgment.

1
Deal lands
An ISO emails the submission. AI reads the credit app and bank statements and flags existing positions.

2
Engine decides
Your loan decision engine runs the full file automatically: approve, decline, or refer.

3
Offer out
Stips and up to six options go to the ISO automatically, while slower shops are still reading statements.

Trusted by lenders running high-velocity, high-volume operations

"We're handling more volume with the same team, funding more deals, and cutting underwriting time by roughly 30%. Everything now runs in one system instead of spreadsheets, and deals move without stalling."

The cost of manual decisioning

When credit decisions depend on manual review, you lose speed

Underwriters waste time on easy calls

Senior underwriters spend hours confirming obvious declines and approvals instead of working the deals that need real judgment.

Credit decisions become harder to defend

If a capital partner asks why a deal was approved, you need a clear record of the rules and score behind the decision.

Slow decisions cost you good paper

ISOs shop deals to multiple funders. If a clean deal sits in your queue, a faster shop can approve it first.

RULE-BASED WEIGHTED SCORECARD

Turn your credit policy into one consistent score

Weight each credit rule by importance, set your approval bands, and let Onyx IQ score every submission the same way, automatically.

Weighted scorecard settings that make every deal follow your credit policy in Onyx IQ
Approve

Deals above your threshold move straight to offer and notify the ISO automatically.

Refer to Underwriting

Borderline deals go to underwriting with the file already built and the triggered rules clearly shown.

Decline

Deals below your threshold are declined automatically with a reason sent back to the ISO.

WHAT THE CREDIT DECISIONING ENGINE RUNS ON

Score every deal using the signals your underwriters already trust

Onyx IQ pulls credit, runs bank statement analysis for cash flow and fraud signals, and checks background on every deal, then scores every submission against your credit policy automatically.

Personal and business credit
Adjusted deposits and average daily balance
NSFs, negative days, and overdrafts
Existing positions and stacking
Liens, judgments, and UCC filings
Repayment history on renewals

Data flows directly into Onyx IQ through Experian via CRS, Plaid or DecisionLogic, MoneyThumb, and Thomson Reuters CLEAR, so your team can make decisions without jumping between systems or re-keying data.

From decision to offer

Turn approvals into offers the ISO can act on immediately

When a deal is approved, Onyx IQ sends up to six offer options straight to your branded ISO portal, so the deal keeps moving without waiting on your team.

Rules first, ML where it belongs

Keep every credit decision explainable and under your control

Approve, decline, and refer with rules you own

Your credit team sets the logic behind every decision. Each approval, decline, or referral traces back to a specific rule, so capital partner questions are easy to answer and policy changes don't require a data-science team.

Use machine learning for the signals that need it

Onyx IQ uses ML for fraud detection and merchant industry classification, while the final credit decision stays tied to the rules your team controls.

Control and traceability

Change credit policy fast and keep every decision traceable

Your credit team can update scorecards, thresholds, and exclusions directly in Onyx IQ, with no engineering ticket required.

Every version is saved, so you can see exactly which rules were in place when any deal was approved, declined, or referred.

One deal record

Turn every approval into the next action, automatically

Onyx IQ is a credit decisioning platform built inside the full lending system. Because it keeps the whole deal in one record, an approval can move straight to the ISO without re-keying data or handing the result off to another system.

Factor rate, RTR, syndicator splits, documents, and deal data stay with the file from AI intake through origination, so the deal keeps moving as soon as a decision is made.

Before you switch

Moving to Onyx IQ won't interrupt your funded book

We set the platform up around your credit policy, validate everything before launch, and price it based on the volume you actually run.

Will switching disrupt my funded deals?

No. We export and map your data, run Onyx IQ alongside your current system, and validate everything before cutover. Your funded deals keep servicing during the transition, so your live portfolio keeps running while you move over.

How long does setup take?

We configure Onyx IQ around the way you already lend. That includes loading your credit rules, building your scorecards, setting up your workflows, and training your team before go-live. You launch with your own credit policy already in place, rather than starting from a generic template.

What does Onyx IQ cost?

Pricing scales with your deal volume and the modules you use. You pay for the setup that fits your operation, including the scorecards and decisioning tools you need. Book a demo and we'll price it against your actual deal flow.

FAQ

Credit decisioning software questions, answered

Credit decisioning software, sometimes called business credit decisioning, applies a lender's credit policy to each application automatically and returns an approve, decline, or refer result. Onyx IQ runs a weighted scorecard against credit, bank data, and background on every submission, approves clean deals, declines clear ones with a reason, and routes the rest to an underwriter.

A weighted scorecard assigns each rule a weight based on how much it matters to your policy, for example FICO weighted heavier than time in business, then combines the rules into one composite score for the deal. You map score ranges to outcomes, so a deal in your approve band is approved and one in your decline band is declined, consistently, on every submission.

For the approve, decline, or refer decision, a rule-based engine wins on explainability, update speed, and control: you can point a capital partner to the exact rule behind a decision, change policy without a model retrain, and keep ownership with your head of credit. Onyx IQ is rule-based for the decision and uses machine learning where it fits, fraud detection and industry prediction, rather than as a black box making the credit call.

Personal and business credit, adjusted deposits and average daily balance, NSFs, negative days and overdrafts, existing positions and stacking, liens, judgments and UCC filings, and, on renewals, how the merchant repaid your last advance. The data is pulled inside the platform through Experian via CRS, Plaid or DecisionLogic, MoneyThumb, and Thomson Reuters CLEAR.

Background checks run through Thomson Reuters CLEAR, which surfaces arrests, court records, UCC filings, and property, pulled right inside the deal. Fraud detection comes from the bank statement analysis, which flags manipulated or inconsistent statements before you fund.

Yes. Scorecards and rules are edited in a no-code editor, so a tighter deposit minimum or a new industry exclusion takes effect on the next submission without an engineering ticket or a vendor request. Scorecard versioning preserves every prior rule set, so each decision stays traceable to the policy that produced it.

They route to your underwriting queue as a refer, with the file already built and the rule that flagged them in view. Your team opens a deal that needs judgment, not a blank file to rebuild, so the refer path stays fast instead of becoming the new bottleneck.
